Job Summary
Perform technical skills in the operating room, including setting up the OR, preparing and transporting patients, adjusting lights and equipment, passing instruments and supplies, holding retractors, cutting sutures, and counting sponges, needles, and instruments. Provide assistance to surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and other professionals while maintaining sterility and processing instruments. Adjust actions in relation to others' actions and follow policies set forth by the Department. Work independently with attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a formal training program
- Two years direct experience scrubbing General Surgery Cases
- At least one year experience processing instruments
- Current Surgical Technologist certification
- CPR Certificate
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to Detail and following Policies set forth by the Department
- Critical Thinking Skills along with good communication skills
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States in a full-time basis
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program preferred
