Job Summary
Prepare surgical suites, supplies, and equipment to ensure environmental safety and infection control for personnel and patients. Establish and maintain sterile fields while verifying sterilization processes and opening supplies aseptically. Pass instruments to the surgeon, assist with patient preparation and transfer to PACU, and appropriately prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Identify breaks in aseptic technique and correct or report them to the proper authority. Participate in counting procedures per policy and contribute to the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement Committee. Travel to facilities as needed and perform additional duties assigned by management. Requires two years of post-certification experience with da Vinci Xi robotic and urology/orthopedic case exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited surgical technologist training program
- Subsequent certification in surgical technology
- Minimum of two years post-certification experience
- da Vinci Xi robotic experience
