Job Summary
Prepare and maintain the sterile field, pass instruments, and ensure surgical equipment is available and functioning properly during procedures. Assist the surgical team with routine patient care activities under the supervision of nurses and physicians. Scrub service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, general, neuro/spine, orthopedics, and complex plastic cases. Requires Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) certification, current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification, and at least two years of experience in a main operating room. Day shift part-time role with on-call and holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Surgical Technician training program from and accredited school
- 2 3 years of experience in a main OR
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- Day shift
- Part Time
- On call required
- Holiday call on rotation
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, general, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Must be flexible, able to multitask and be able to work independently
