Surgical Technician

Prepare the operating room for cesarean sections and other OB/GYN procedures by setting up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and necessary supplies. Scrub in and maintain aseptic technique while anticipating team needs to pass instruments, sutures, and supplies. Assist with patient positioning, draping, and specimen care, then decontaminate and restock instruments post-procedure. Perform counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments with the RN before, during, and after surgery. Support emergency situations including stat cesarean sections, postpartum hemorrhage, and neonatal resuscitation. Assist with general patient care tasks such as vital signs, transport, and hygiene. Work night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am with alternating weekends. Maintain certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) and hold Basic Life Support/CPR certification. Participate in quality improvement activities and attend required trainings.
