Job Summary
Apply aseptic principles to maintain sterile environments and demonstrate competency in technical and psychomotor skills. Assist in organizing supplies, ordering inventory, and ensuring specialized trays are ready for each procedure. Collect patient data, participate in Quality Assessment committees, and collaborate with surgeons to prepare instrumentation. Assist with instrument cleaning, sterilization, trash disposal, time outs, and room turnover. Provide age-specific care to obstetrical patients in accordance with department policies.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days
- Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology
- Certificate of Completion in Surgical Technology
- Work experience in surgical technology
