Job Summary
Surgical Technician II position at Providence Kodiak Alaska Medical Center in Kodiak, AK. Provides support by anticipating the needs of the Surgeon and OR staff, performs decontamination of equipment, instruments and completes sterilization while maintaining a sterile environment. Requires graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology Program (CAAHEP) or equivalent, National certification on hire (CST or equivalent), BLS within 30 days of hire, and relevant OR scrubbing experience. Includes a $10,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires and relocation assistance for qualified applicants. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a Surgical Technology Program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAAHEP) or other program accredited by the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist or completion of a Surgical Technician Military Training program
- National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, or National Tech in Surgery - Certified - National Center for Competency Testing
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Operating Room experience for candidates who have graduated from an accredited Surgical Technology Program or have completed other accredited programs by the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist or completion of a Surgical Technician Military Training program
- minimum one year operating room experience scrubbing on surgical procedures
