Job Summary
Lead an ABHES-accredited Surgical Technology program by teaching regularly, supervising faculty and staff through annual evaluations and mentorship, and ensuring full compliance with state and accrediting body requirements. Monitor student retention metrics monthly, plan departmental meetings, and provide academic advising while working one evening per week to support evening students. Recruit and onboard new faculty, evaluate performance using student feedback, coordinate advisory councils, and supervise externships. Recommend curriculum updates, review transfer credits, administer proficiency exams, and partner with career services for student placement.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a surgical technology role
