Job Summary
Assist physicians in the operating room and clinic by setting up equipment, maintaining sterile fields, and supporting local procedures. Manage surgical instruments, trays, and sterilization records while ensuring compliance with safety policies and aseptic techniques. Process specimens, handle biomedical waste, and maintain equipment in the recovery room and instrument processing areas. Complete post-operative charting, room patients, and answer patient questions in the clinical setting. Transport and clean instruments according to established protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Surgical Technician Certification
- Must be flexible to work in both our Newport News and Williamsburg locations
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Valid driver's license
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail

Desired Qualifications
- Ambulatory surgery center: 1 year (Preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of sub-sterile policies and procedures
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
