Surgical Technician - PRN

Job Summary
Surgical Technician in a PRN role supporting the Operating Room team. Responsibilities include scrubbing and preparing instruments, arranging equipment and supplies for cases, maintaining sterile technique, assisting Nurses and Surgeons, labeling and handling specimens, and supporting setup and turnover of the OR. Must be able to anticipate surgeon needs, manage sterile supplies, operate OR equipment, and assist with patient transfer to PACU as needed. Requires ability to work within HIPAA regulations, participate in ongoing staff training and QA/QI activities, and collaborate effectively with team members. Requires high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, strong customer service, willingness to learn, and BLS certification ( CST certification preferred; two years OR experience preferred). Proficiency with Amkai Charts and Microsoft Office is desired.
Required Qualifications

- Basic computer skills

- Excitement to learn and grow
- Two (2) years of hospital main operating room experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification preferred
- Knowledge of Amkai Charts Database software and Microsoft Word
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
