Job Summary
Organize and maintain the operating room environment, including sterile setup, inventory management, and equipment checks before, during, and after surgical interventions. Prepare surgical patients, assist the surgical team with instruments and supplies, and ensure emergency equipment is available. Monitor in-house supplies and medical gases, report malfunctioning equipment, and follow established policies for surgical counts and specimen maintenance. Keep surgical suites clean and properly stocked while anticipating equipment needs based on surgeon preference.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in surgical technology
- surgical technologist certification
- Two or more years of experience in an operating room
- Current BLS\CPR certification
- Knowledge and familiar with state and federal regulations
- Full time position
- hours are variable
