Job Summary
Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining the sterile field during cases and providing the surgeon with necessary tools throughout. Scrub on minor and major procedures across generalized surgical specialties, including GYN, general, plastics, ortho, neuro, ENT, and urology. Maintain current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and throughout employment. This per diem role at West Anaheim Medical Center, a 219-bed acute-care hospital, supports a team dedicated to high-quality, compassionate healthcare services.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years experience
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate
- Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in the generalized surgical specialties, (i.e., GYN, General and Plastics)
- Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in the specialty surgical areas (i.e., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro. Etc.)
