Job Summary
Scrub for surgeries and assist in the care of surgical patients while managing supplies and equipment in the operating room. The role requires knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical instruments, completing an accredited Surgical Technologist Program, and obtaining certification within the specified time after hire. Continuing education and BLS certification are required within specified timeframes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program
- Certification as Surgical Technologist from a nationally recognized institutional or programmatic accreditation required or must be obtained within 18 months of hire date
- Must complete 10 hours of continuing education annually to maintain certification
- Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire)
