Job Summary
Assist the surgeon and surgical team during procedures by providing appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment while maintaining proper sterile technique. Work closely with all members of the surgical team to provide direct patient care and optimize positive surgical outcomes. Requires completion of an accredited surgical technology program, active NBSTSA/JCAHPO/NCCT certification, and BLS certification. Full-time day shift role with four 10-hour shifts per week, one call per week, and one weekend off every 6-7 weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the CAAHEP or ABHES
- Active certification by the NBSTSA, JCAHPO, or NCCT
- Completion of a training program in a branch of the armed forces or in the Public Health Service Commissioned Corp
- 16 hours of continuing education every two years
- Work experience in an ASC, hospital, or federal government agency between January 1, 2014 through January 1, 2017
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
