Job Summary
Assist the surgeon and surgical team during procedures by providing appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment while maintaining proper sterile technique. Work closely with all members of the surgical team to provide direct patient care in an effort to optimize positive surgical outcomes. Maintain National Provider BLS certification through the American Heart Association. This full-time day shift role includes four 10-hour shifts with one call per week and one weekend (48 hours) every 6-7 weekends. Required Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the CAAHEP or ABHES
- holds an active certification by the NBSTSA, JCAHPO, or NCCT
- Completion of a training program in a branch of the armed forces or in the Public Health Service Commissioned Corp
- completed 16 hours of continuing education every two years
- work experience in an ASC, hospital, or federal government agency between January 1, 2014 through January 1, 2017
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- one weekend (48 hours) every 6-7 weekends
- four (4) 10 hour shifts
- call once per week
