Job Summary
Work directly with the surgical team in Labor and Delivery to provide sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment during procedures while maintaining proper sterile technique. Optimize positive surgical outcomes through direct patient care support. Requires active NBSTSA, JCAHPO, or NCCT certification, a surgical technology program, and a National Provider BLS certification upon hire. Schedule includes night shifts (7pm-7:30am) with rotating weekends on a .6 FTE basis.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the CAAHEP or ABHES
- Active certification by the NBSTSA, JCAHPO, or NCCT
- Completion of a training program in a branch of the armed forces or in the Public Health Service Commissioned Corp
- 16 hours of continuing education every two years
- Work experience in an ASC, hospital, or federal government agency between January 1, 2014 through January 1, 2017
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
