Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in Labor and Delivery by assisting the surgeon and surgical team during procedures with appropriate sutures, supplies, and equipment while maintaining proper sterile technique. Work night shifts from 7pm to 7:30am, rotating weekends, as a 0.6 FTE surgical technician. Ensure all team members receive required BLS certification upon hire.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a surgical technology program accredited by the CAAHEP or ABHES and holds an active certification by the NBSTSA, JCAHPO, or NCCT
- Completion of a training program in a branch of the armed forces or in the Public Health Service Commissioned Corp and who completed 16 hours of continuing education every two years
- "Grandfathered" based on work experience in an ASC, hospital, or federal government agency between January 1, 2014 through January 1, 2017 only and who complete 16 hours of continuing education every two years
