Job Summary
Prepare Labor and Delivery operating rooms for cases, assemble surgical supplies, maintain sterile fields, and pass instruments during procedures. Ensure rooms are case-ready for the following day, admit and discharge patients, manage front desk logs, and monitor infant security alarms. Reprocess instruments and arrange them in the soiled utility room according to policy. Complete required annual continuing education hours and perform other duties as assigned. The unit supports high-risk obstetrical care with approximately 300-330 monthly deliveries, featuring birthing suites, triage beds, operating rooms, and neonatal stabilization rooms.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Graduate of an accredited Scrub Technologist school/program or 2 years of experience as a surgical technologist
- Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR)
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
