Surgical Technician

Job Summary
Work closely with the surgeon during procedures, passing instruments, providing retraction, and assisting with intraoperative tasks while maintaining strict aseptic technique. Prepare ORs and back tables, verify sterile integrity and expiration dates, open and set up sterile packs and supplies, and assist in draping and positioning. Safely handle and pass suture, identify and manage instruments, participate in counts, and support endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. Perform daily housekeeping in the department, reprocess instruments, and ensure patient safety and HIPAA compliance. Requires OR tech training or LVN scrub experience, and BLS certification; English proficiency and strong communication are essential. Maintain infection control, teamwork, professionalism, and adaptability in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Required Qualifications
- OR tech-graduate of surgical technician school and/or sufficient on the job training for licensed LVN surgical scrub
- BLS certification required
- Experience: 4-6 weeks preceptor training required upon hire
