Surgical Technician - Full Time / Days

Job Summary

Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures by preparing rooms, positioning and draping patients, and anticipating intraoperative needs including instrument passing and wound dressing application. Scrub for all procedures, maintain sterile instrument tables, and accurately complete operating room counts while reporting discrepancies immediately. Manage aseptic technique, clean and process instruments post-operatively, and monitor PAR levels for supplies. Collaborate with nursing teams to organize end-of-case cleanup and restock supplies. Requires Surgical Technician Certificate, Washington State registration, and BLS certification.

Required Qualifications

  • Surgical Technician Certificate from an accredited college, technical school, or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months training, experience, or combination of education and experience
  • Current Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification
  • Demonstrates competence in care of specimens and accurately handles specimens at all times
  • Ability to closely observe patient with minimal disturbance
  • Must have demonstrated ability to interact positively with Administration, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, peers, co-workers, subordinates, patients and visitors
  • Must meet regular attendance standard and must stay at or below average sick leave utilization levels
