Job Summary
Orthopedic Surgical Scrub Technician role with Coastal Orthopedics: prepares and maintains sterile fields, sets up OR with specialized instruments and implants, assists surgeons during joint replacement, arthroscopy, and spine procedures, operates orthopedic power tools, conducts accurate counts, handles implants per protocols, coordinates with vendor reps for trays and implant systems, and ensures instrument sterilization with infection-control compliance. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program, and BLS; CST credential is preferred or required depending on site. Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work in high-volume orthopedic procedures are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred/required
- Current BLS certification
