Job Summary
Surgical Technician role handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures with scrubbing duties, suturing, suctioning, holding retractors, and maintaining homeostasis. Responsibilities include anticipating surgeon needs, correcting or preventing risks based on observation, troubleshooting equipment, and serving as a preceptor for new staff and students. Requires an accredited surgical technologist program, 4 years OR experience, and certifications (CST and CFA) with BLS on hire; physical ability to lift 40-50 lbs and frequent standing. Located at LVHN with in-person duties in Lower Pottsgrove, PA.
Required Qualifications
- Technical School Diploma Surgical tech program
- 4 years experience in an operating room
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- CST - Certified Surgical Technologist NBSTSA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- CFA - Certified Surgical First Assistant NBSTSA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Demonstrates knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the procedure and for maintenance of the sterile field
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Frequent to continuous standing/walking
