Job Summary
Surgical Technician in a dermatology/cosmetic surgery setting supporting a physician team: assist physicians, maintain and review patient medical records, obtain consents and pre-authorizations, call in prescriptions, perform patient callbacks, schedule surgeries, and travel with the provider to multiple locations (up to 8 sites). Requires certified surgical tech with dermatology experience, CPR, sterile technique knowledge, medical terminology, and computer literacy; strong customer service and teamwork are essential.
Required Qualifications
- MUST BE A CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECH
- At least one year of Dermatology experience
- Surgical Experience REQUIRED
- Cosmetic and Plastic Surgical Experience PREFERRED
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of vital signs is required
- Working knowledge of dermatologic surgery and sterile technique
- Must have knowledge of medical terminology and be computer literate
