Surgical Tech

Prepare the operating room and sterile field for surgical procedures by setting up equipment, instruments, and supplies using sterile technique. Assist the surgical team during a variety of procedures while anticipating and responding to usual or unexpected events efficiently. Handle and process surgical specimens according to established policy, demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy and pathophysiology, and serve as a preceptor for training fellow staff members and students. Adapt quickly and collaborate effectively within the OR team to contribute directly to the patient's healing process at CHI Health Lakeside, West Omaha's only full-service hospital.
