Job Summary
Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to organize and administer age-specific care to patients in the surgical suite, ensuring physiologic responses remain as expected. Maintain a safe environment that facilitates positive patient outcomes while scrubbing across diverse service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Work independently to make calls and multitask within the perioperative division. This role requires a Certified Surgical Technician with 2–3 years of experience and current BLS certification. Schedule includes 7:00 am to 3:00 pm shifts, every other weekend, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- Availability for 7:00 am - 3:00 pm shifts
- Availability for every other weekend and Holiday
- Part Time status
