Job Summary
Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to administer age-specific care to patients, maintain a safe environment, and ensure physiologic responses remain expected during surgery across the perioperative division. Scrub for service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Maintain current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) certification. Work evening shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, rotating every other weekend and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Must be able to make calls
- Must be flexible
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm shift
- Every other weekend and Holiday availability
- Full Time employment
