Job Summary
Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to organize and administer individualized, age-specific care to patients in the surgical suite. Scrub across diverse service lines including robotics, vascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes while ensuring physiologic responses to surgery remain as expected. Maintain current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) certification. Work part-time shifts from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- Availability for 7:00 am - 3:00 pm shifts
- Availability for every other weekend and Holiday
- Part Time status
