Job Summary
Collaborate with the perioperative registered nurse to organize and administer age-specific care to patients while maintaining an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes. Scrub across diverse service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Ensure patient physiologic responses to surgery are as expected throughout the surgical suite and perioperative division. Work independently with strong communication skills, making calls as needed. Evening shift from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, rotating every other weekend and holidays. Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA) and current BLS certification required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Ability to make calls
- Flexibility
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification with American Heart Association
- Availability for 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm shifts
- Availability for every other weekend and Holiday
- Full Time employment status
