Job Summary
Collaborate with perioperative registered nurses to organize and administer age-specific care for patients in the surgical suite. Maintain an environment that facilitates safe patient outcomes and ensure physiologic responses to surgery are as expected across the perioperative division. Scrub service lines including robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases, and trauma. Work independently with strong communication skills, making calls and multitasking as needed. Schedule runs 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, every other weekend, and holidays. Full-time hourly position at RWJBarnabas Health, the premier academic health system in New Jersey.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an Surgical Technician training program
- 2 – 3 years of experience
- Must have strong knowledge with skill being able to scrub the following service lines: robotics, vascular, endovascular, neurovascular, general, thoracic, neuro/spine, orthopedics, complex plastic cases and trauma
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbally and written)
- Must be able to make calls
- Must be flexible, able to multitask and be able to work independently
- Certified Surgical Technician (NBSTSA)
- Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification required with American Heart Association
- 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm
- Every other weekend and Holiday
- Full Time
