Job Summary
Join the Open Heart Team as a Surgical Tech where you will provide direct patient care using surgical techniques and relevant procedures in the Operating Room. The role includes compliance with standards of surgical practice and maintaining certification as required. A $15K sign-on bonus is offered for experienced Surgical Techs in open heart. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Surgical Technology program, have command of surgical techniques, and hold BLS certification. Experience in open heart procedures is essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited post-secondary education program in Surgical Technology
- Command of the standards of surgical technique
- Experience in Open Heart
- BLS certification
- Successful completion of applicable clearances within 90 days of commencing employment
- Compliance with continuing education requirements to maintain certification
Desired Qualifications
- Two years current Operating Room experience
- AST Certification
Additional Requirements
- New hire surgical technologists must meet legislative requirements as outlined for certification and experience
