Job Summary
Conduct operative and invasive procedures as a scrub person. Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to decontamination areas. Perform post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and prepare the space for subsequent patients. Assist with all other duties as assigned. Requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a surgical technology course, and two years of operating room experience. ASC experience is preferred, along with ORT certification or successful completion of a training program in the armed forces, National Guard, or United States Public Health Services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certification
- Completion of Surgical Technologist course
- Two years previous operating room experience
Desired Qualifications
- ASC experience preferred
- ORT certification preferred
- Successfully completed a training program for surgical technology in the armed forces of the United States, the National Guard or in the United States Public Health Services
