Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist/LPN, under the direct supervision of the Charge Nurse and/or assigned circulating nurse, will perform procedures ensuring safe and effective service to patients and surgeons. Responsibilities include anticipating the needs of the surgeon, passing instruments, sutures, sponges, and other necessary sterile equipment during surgeries, and assisting with vaginal deliveries. Candidates must be graduates of accredited Surgical Technology schools or LPNs with relevant experience and hold a BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or LPN
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience on a women’s unit
- BLS certification required on hire
Desired Qualifications
- Surgical Technology Certification preferred
- One (1) year Operating Room experience preferred
