Job Summary
Prepare the operating room, sterilize instruments, and provide direct assistance to surgeons and nurses during operative procedures. Assist with patient positioning, draping, and instrument counts while maintaining strict adherence to sterile technique and safety protocols. Requires an associates degree in Surgical Technologist, certification, and five years of experience working as a certified surgical technologist. This role is a critical member of the surgical team at Sentara Obici Hospital, a 175-bed Magnet facility specializing in orthopedic, spine, heart, and vascular services.
