Job Summary
Prepare the operating room, set up surgical equipment and instruments, and maintain a sterile environment for a variety of procedures. Assist the surgical team, handle blood and tissue specimens accurately, and facilitate timely room turnover while communicating case progress and delays. Anticipate activities according to surgeon preference, respond to urgent situations with sound judgment, and expedite procedures with speed and dexterity. Requires CST or TS-C certification, three years of recent hospital experience, and BLS certification. Located at Dignity Health - French Hospital Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, California, serving over 150,000 patients annually.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate Other Completion of Surgical Technologist training
- Completion of Certification as Surgical Technologist
- A minimum of three (3) years recent hospital experience in the capacity of a Surgical Technologist
- Certified Surgical Technologist CST or Technologist in Surgery-Certified TS-C
- Basic Life Support - CPR BLS
