Job Summary
Prepare the operating room, set up surgical equipment and instruments, and maintain a sterile environment for a variety of procedures. Assist the surgical team, handle blood and tissue specimens accurately, and ensure proper care of instruments according to AAMI/ANSI Standards. Facilitate surgery schedules through timely room turnover and communicate case progress or delays while responding to urgent situations with sound judgment. Requires Surgical Technologist training, CST certification, one year of recent hospital experience, and BLS certification. Located at Dignity Health - Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria, California.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Surgical Technologist training
- Completion of Certification as Surgical Technologist
- A minimum of one (1) year recent hospital experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Basic Life Support - CPR BLS, within 30 Days
- Certified Surgical Technologist CST or Technologist in Surgery-Certified TS-C
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years hospital experince as a Surgical Tech
