Job Summary
Prepare and set up case carts, open sterile supplies using aseptic technique, and sterilize cameras, scopes, and cables per physician preferences. Assist nursing staff in patient care, perform efficient OR room turnover, and maintain a sterile environment while adapting to the changing operating room setting. Ensure thorough understanding of standard precautions to maintain cleanliness across 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites in a Level One Trauma Center.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- Six (6) months on the job related experience or surgical program graduate and less than two (2) years surgical technologist clinical experience
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
