Job Summary
Provides direct patient care utilizing knowledge in surgical technique, operative procedures, and operating room technology. Complies with standards of practice for Surgical Technologists. Must meet certification requirements and successful completion of relevant clearances within 90 days of employment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited post-secondary education program in Surgical Technology
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment
- Meet at least one of the outlined requirements by December 2020 regarding certification or employment history
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of current Operating Room experience
- AST Certification
Additional Requirements
- Surgical technologists must comply annually with the continuing education requirements necessary to maintain the certified surgical technologist credential
