Job Summary
Coordinate and assemble appropriate instrumentation for each individual case, pass instruments, medications, and anticipate surgeon needs. Follow established plans of care and provide direct surgical care interventions within the scope of practice under the supervision of the OR Clinical Coordinator, Director of Surgical Services, or RN Circulator. Collaborate with unit and hospital staff and other health professionals. Requires a Colorado State Surgical Technologist license, BCLS certification, and experience in OB, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Dental, and Urology cases. This role supports River Landing Ambulatory Surgery Center, opening summer 2024, as part of Montrose Regional Health's 23-specialty comprehensive services.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Colorado State Surgical Technologist license
- BCLS Certification
- Experience in OB cases
- Experience in Gynecology cases
- Experience in Orthopedics cases
- Experience in Ophthalmology cases
- Experience in ENT cases
- Experience in Plastics cases
- Experience in Dental cases
- Experience in Urology cases
- Knowledge of surgical instrumentation use, care, and cleaning
- Ability to manage instruments in the variety of cases listed above
- Ability to work under the supervision of the OR Clinical Coordinator, Director of Surgical Services and/or RN (Circulator)
