Job Summary
Prepare the operating room and sterile field for surgical procedures by setting up equipment, instruments, and supplies using proper sterile technique. Assist the surgical team during a variety of procedures, anticipate unexpected events, and handle surgical specimens according to policy. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and pathophysiology while adapting quickly to collaborate effectively within the OR team. Serve as a preceptor for training and orientation of fellow staff members and students.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Open to hiring Certified or Non-Certified Surgical Techs that have completed a Surgical Tech education program
