Job Summary
Assist surgical teams during operative procedures by arranging sterile instrument sets, passing items to surgeons and nurses, and preparing, moving, and sterilizing patients and equipment. Work under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses while performing daily diagnostic imaging coverage including patient preparation and room cleaning. Schedule 10-hour shifts from 0630-1700, four days a week, with one evening call shift monthly and one weekend call monthly. Requires HS Diploma/GED, approved Surgical Technician program completion, and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Computer skills
- HS Diploma/GED
- Completion of an approved Surgical Technician program
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery (CST) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Physical Requirements-Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
- One (1) evening call shift (1700-0600) a week
- One (1) weekend (Saturday and Sunday, 0700-0700) a month
