Job Summary
Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and communicates with the circulating nurse; assembles supplies, equipment, and medications prior to procedures; maintains aseptic technique; supports relationships with physicians and staff; supervises and trains team members; promotes patient safety and regulatory compliance; assists with OR turnover and room management; upholds infection control standards and participates in quality initiatives; requires BLS and CST/NTSC certification with 1+ years of surgical tech experience; full-time day shift with on-call duties; location: AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, FL.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in Surgical Technology preferred
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Technician in Surgery - Certified (NTSC) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- 1+ years experience in surgical technology preferred
- Knowledge of aseptic/sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
