Job Summary
Assist the Clinical Director in leading the patient care team, overseeing clinical operations, and ensuring adherence to service, safety, and quality standards within the Perioperative Setting. Actively coach staff, assess competency, and facilitate performance reviews while fostering a culture of shared decision-making and professional growth. Provide adequate staffing levels, monitor equipment functionality including refrigerators and defibrillators, and ensure timely documentation and archival. Manage nursing clinical operational efficiencies and resource utilization to reduce costs. Attend designated meetings and demonstrate basic clinical competency as a nurse. Requires current NJ-RN license, BSN preferred, and experience in perioperative support services. Weekend, holiday, and call rotation required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experiences in a Perioperative support services role
- relevant experience and knowledge of OR equipment
- Communication – Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and coworkers
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of the NDNQI database for nursing sensitive indicators and others
- Strong level of confidentiality due to the sensitivity of materials and information handled
- Computer literacy
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Good organizational skills to handle multiple priorities while remaining professional and calm
- Ability to work with many diverse people
- Effective telephone skills
- Written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated effectiveness in the realization of performance objectives
- previous experience in performance-based evaluations
- Current NJ-RN License
- 5 8s or 4 10s: 10A-8:30P or 12P-8:30P
- Weekend, holiday, and call rotation required
