Job Summary
Meet with patients to gather health history, medications, and refraction data, then verify and enter corresponding information into the EHR. Process Web Registration, inform patients of current promotions, and monitor office flow while communicating any delays. Educate patients on Vision Today Program focal points and prepare for appointments by reviewing selections. Submit weekly program reports to the Office Manager. Perform other duties as determined by the office manager, team lead, or doctor. This role requires high school graduation, with previous medical office experience preferred, and proficiency in EHR systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Proficient in EHR, including exceptional keyboarding skills
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Quality of work reflects efficiency and accuracy
- Ability to obtain knowledge and skills on the job or through educational courses
- A strong commitment to helping people
- Polite, professional, and courteous
- Ability to lead, motivate and promote a team environment
- Proactive, adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure to accomplish projects and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
Desired Qualifications
- Previous medical office experience is preferred
- Obtaining certification through an ophthalmology certification program
