Surgical Scrub Technician

Surgical Scrub Technician prepares and maintains surgical instruments and supplies for procedures, assists with intraoperative patient care under an RN or physician, ensures sterile technique and proper instrument counts, and supports the OR team in room setup, draping, and sterile field maintenance. Responsibilities include verifying readiness before surgery, communicating equipment deficiencies, managing preference cards, and participating in quality-improvement activities. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited surgical technology program (or equivalent), current CPR certification, DORA registration, and approximately 2 years of surgical experience. On-site role located in Durango, Colorado, with hospital-wide infection control and safety requirements observed.
