Job Summary

Coordinate neurosurgical procedures from start to finish by scheduling hospital and ambulatory surgery center procedures using electronic systems and building cases in Epic. Arrange operating room time, pre-operative and post-operative appointments, and required imaging or testing while serving as the primary contact for patients. Ensure all orders, consents, and documentation are completed accurately and submit authorizations to the prior authorization team. Communicate with providers, hospitals, and clinical partners to maintain seamless care coordination and participate in department meetings. Required Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience as a Patient Service Representative, Clinical Assistant, Medical Assistant, or in a similar healthcare role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong computer and keyboard skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • In a full-time, Monday through Friday position

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience using Epic electronic medical records
  • Previous surgery scheduling experience
