Surgical Scheduler Orthopedic

Coordinate operating room schedules to maximize efficient use of equipment, staff, and blocks times. Work with physician offices to gather information for surgeries consistent with department guidelines, assigning suites and coordinating with Patient Admitting to prevent delays. Ensure demographic, billing, and insurance data is entered into electronic medical records. May reschedule surgeries to accommodate emergencies or unanticipated events. Requires high school diploma or one year of applicable job-specific experience.
