Job Summary
Ensure, organize, and maintain an active, accurate surgery schedule by coordinating all procedures for assigned providers and service lines. Coordinate surgical procedures with multiple hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers, schedule pre-operative testing, communicate orders, and collect necessary documentation. Work closely with patients, physicians, staff, and operating rooms to provide accurate, timely, and responsive scheduling. Provide administrative support by solving routine and complex customer problems and directing inquiries. Interact with patients, families, referring physicians, and third-party carriers regarding patient-related issues. Exercise independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload while communicating regularly with clinical staff and medical secretaries to maximize department time and utilization. Requires two or more years of experience in a health care environment, high school diploma, and knowledge of computer software applications including MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. EPIC experience is preferred.

- Continual Attention To Detail In Composing, Typing And Proofing Materials, Establishing Priorities And Meeting Deadlines.
