Job Summary
Prepare patients for fertility procedures, perform preoperative assessments, start IVs, and reinforce discharge instructions. Recover patients after general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care while monitoring conditions and communicating changes to the surgical team. Deliver direct patient care during pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases in the surgical suite. Accurately document care in the electronic medical record and oversee suite operations to ensure sterility and equipment functionality. Adhere to aseptic techniques, enforce safety standards, and initiate emergency protocols as needed. Mentor new staff, coordinate equipment repairs, and contribute to process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
- Active RN license issued by the Arkansas State Board of Nursing
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of two years' experience as an RN
- Ability to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, transferring patients, and pushing or pulling equipment
- Full-time employment
- Onsite position
Desired Qualifications
- Willingness to obtain BLS and ACLS certifications
- One year of experience in a PACU or OR setting as an RN
