Job Summary
Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) on the Neuro/Med-Surg unit providing comprehensive patient care: assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care; delegates and supervises non-RN staff; serves as charge nurse; demonstrates neuro assessment, airway management, endotracheal/tracheostomy care, and suctioning; caring for patients with Halo/Trach and ventilator support; participates in TIA teaching, education, and care coordination with the healthcare team; precepts new staff and supports unit operations; requires BSN preferred with CT RN licensure and BLS.
Required Qualifications
- EDUCATION: Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing; BSN Preferred.
- LICENSURE: Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License.
- SPECIAL SKILLS: BLS Required.
- EXPERIENCE: Med/Surg RN experience required.
- Proficient In Use Of Computer Software To Include Electronic Patient Records.
