Surgical Recovery Coordinator I

Coordinate and communicate with transplant centers during kidney allocation, recover blood/tissue specimens, and serve as first assist to visiting and local surgeons. Provide organ preservation by maintaining flush amounts and medicinal additives, then package, label, and transport organs to transplant hospitals or the Perfusion Lab Facility. Operate kidney preservation machines to assess organ function and provide viability feedback to optimize preservation techniques while maintaining accurate records of kidney function and disposition. Maintain complete clinical records of donor recoveries, ensure routine maintenance for assigned equipment, and manage adequate inventory of supplies and medications. Take 24-hour call to be available for activity associated with organ donation within a specified radius.
