Job Summary
Coordinate surgical care by interviewing patients, coordinating pre-operative tests and consents, verifying and documenting procedures in the medical record (EMR/EHR), and scheduling pre-admission testing and related services. Serve as a liaison to patients, physicians, hospitals, and caregivers, ensuring timely pre-ops and providing written documentation of schedules and patient instructions. Requires strong communication, attention to detail, medical terminology knowledge, HIPAA compliance, typing 40 wpm, and willingness to travel within a geographic region. Travel and inpatient coordination are involved. Full-time role based in Baltimore, MD with UUG’s urology network.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of surgical posting experience.
- Proficient knowledge of insurance.
- Computer proficiency and prior experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
- Urology experience is a plus.
